And don't I look ready?
I am clear of eye and have a sense of purpose. I have discovered that I LOVE to work. I am eager to do my job(s): be pretty, play, jog and giddyup. Most of all, I am always up for jumping over things and striding along a teeter board. And, I really don't mind being obedient and walking funny as if my head was glued by Ms. Alpha's knee.
It's all about the attitude and give-and-take. Ms. Alpha purrs how I'magoodboy and squeals with delight when I move the way she's taught me. And the give-and-take is the BEST—she gives liver, chicken and cookies and I TAKE, TAKE, TAKE. It's more than a fair exchange.
Things are looking up for Mr. Fenway, The Fen Man. Funway. Fenzie. Fensterini.
And guess what! My pals from across the ocean—Toma-Chan and Tom—sent a lovely box of extra toys and treats. For my 18 month birthday I am going to bring these presents to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter to spread some of the joy and love that is in such abundance in my den! Thanks, Tom and Tama-Chan, for giving me the best present of all!
ADDENDUM: Sweet Caroline!!!
I've seen suitcases. Piles of clothes are on the bed. Someone named Kate has come to the house to learn how it works and take me for a walk with Ms. Alpha. Something's afoot and I have the funny feeling I'm not included in this plan.
When I heard the strains of Sweet Caroline and saw the Red Sox caps sitting on top of the suitcases I put two and two together.
It's off to spring training in sunny Florida for the rest of the week!
I am uneasy about this, but the Alphas have given me so much of their time, love and undivided attention that I am NOT going to make it any harder on them than it has to be. I know I am not going with them and they are very sad about that.
But I know they will be back and we will have our pack intact again!

Wow! 18 months old and you look sooooo very beautiful! I love reading about all the things you heave learned to do - I know it must be very hard work to know all the things you know, but I also sense that you love doing it! Mom works with me on obedience and I find it tedious cause she's such a rookie BOL! You'll do fine with a little time off! Will check in on you!

I saw your teeter video; Mom spent all that money on a teeter when she could've made one herself after watching your video. That would've paid for a lot of agility trials for us! (D'Oh!) Mom says she saw some show Border Collies at Louisville! Maybe your sis was there and she didn't know it!
Practice your teeter while your peeps are gone and impress them to pieces when they get back!

My mom thinks that you and Hershey really have very similar markings!! She loves your tulip ears.. Both Hershey's ears are 'erect' and makes her look quite 'dopey'...
Don't miss your parents too much ok.. you know that at the end of the day, they'll be back by your side (and possibly with loads of pressies for you from their trip)!!
