I'm Gonna Get There Someday....

It was just last week that my Alphas left me for a trip down to Sarasota, Florida. And, who would have guessed, but The Fen Man was cooler than Obama about the whole thing. The A.'s had a dog sitter come live at my den with me so that my routine was as close to normal as possible. Well, let me tell you on the Q.T.—it was better than normal.

My old friend Kate, from my vet's office, came to feed, play and care for me. Next to my Alphas and my breeders, she is The Best. I even got to sleep in the bed with her! (she thought I seemed a little stressed...haha!) Kate is studying to be a vet lab assistant. I don't even want to delve into that, but I get the distinct impression she knows a LOT about animals. The best part is that she suggested to Ms. Alpha the Stingy that my food portions be increased a bit. Oh, joy. I just love that Kate.

And look what Kate made me as a parting gift....my own peanut butter cookies. They are chewy and so unbelievably delicious. I Be Have and do whatever is necessary to get one of these babies.
What's not to love? These are mine, all mine!

While the Alphas were away they went to see the
Red Sox cream the Cincinatti Reds in Sarasota.
John Lester pitched and my home team won 9-1.

Here is a spring training version of a Fenway Frank.
I love the idea of a food item named after me!

This shirt just about says it all.
Since I am an "intact" male,
I constantly feel the need to mark everything.
That's me—Fenway the Wicked Pissa.

There are border collie seagulls in Florida!
Seriously—check out the markings.

There are very clever creatures in Florida.
Dumpster diving is a fine art.
And, doesn't this look like a border collie racoon?
Again...similar markings. I have a mask, too!

Florida has some serious pet fish.
These are some very religious koi.

The Alphas kayaked through some mangrove swamps.
I don't like the looks of them at all.

Herons were everywhere since there are
no border collies in the swamps to herd them.

This land alligator was walking around downtown.

A friendly cormorant followed the Alphas kayak.
I think he's part border collie, too,
since he seemed very alert and on the lookout.

The Alphas met Alice, a lovely standard poodle.
Do you think she feasts on champagne and imported cheeses?

I think so...Alice is smacking her lips for dinner!

I am more than intrigued with her cuisine.
This little lady takes feasting to a whole
other level that I never imagined.

I need to visit Alice!

Thanks for the link to that website. It's fun. But we though we'd let you know that it's not Tama-Chan climbing p #1's pants! It's "Sir" the little alien in the back room! He is only 8 weeks old!!!

Fenway,

That is so terrible that your humans left you behind to go see the Sox without their number one fan? Dad likes the tee-shirt. He is a Mets fan and despises the evil Yankees. Glad you got some yummy peanut butter cookies.

Glad your back! Oh sorry, I have a string of drool from looking at the fenway frank.

The Border Collie colored seagulls are rather cute. And hilarious. I wonder if they herd the white seagulls.

I'd love to get down to Florida for some warmer weather and one of those yummy hot dogs! mmmmmmm...

I'm taking an advanced agility I class at A Click Above this session. Mom had to scale back to just one class this time but she hopes she can do 2 in the next session. I'm going to 2 trials in April so we can keep up our good teamwork (crossing our paws!!)

That blog post is coming soon. And I didn't even get any homemade cookies out of it. WHAT THE...
