Yes, it's that time of year again.
With each change of seasons, Ms. Alpha is compelled to document the seasons and pose me among whatever nature happens to be up to. This is the seventh season in my short life and by now I know the drill. Basically, it all revolves around a Sit Still.
This time it didn't take as long as usual. I've been to enough obedience classes that I can hold a pose until she's done. I've learned that instead of squirming or leaving the scene altogether, it's just best to get it over asap. And, there's always a reward, so we're even-steven.
But, sweet sufferin' jesus, it's still only early spring! That means there's still cherry blossoms, more tulips, petunias and azaleas in my future!!! Not to mention cascades of wisteria. Oy vey!
Does anyone know a good agent? I need to renegotiate my contract!
Profile of bored collie with Star Flowers.
Hyacinths to match my luscious ruff.
Do I care?

Posing? Not me...I'm really watching a squirrel in the tree.

She thinks I'm posing. I really have a squirrel in my sights.
Note to self: Make plans for him later!
I am bored with these poses.
Even the early tulips went to sleep.
Notice Mr. Alpha's pride and joy—the Z28 in the background.
I can only dream of hanging out the window at 110 mph.

Ahem...didn't you promise me a payoff for the posing?

Oh joy! Yessssss.
Green Ball means it's time for FUNNNNNNN.
(and The Joker's got nothing on me.
Is this the widest grin you've ever seen?)

And what's more pretty than me with my ostentatious ruff?
Such ridiculous extravagance!
My opulent display of flying fur outdoes the spring flowers!

Hi Fenway,
You are such a good model! Your mom should be so proud of you... normally when I 'pose', I am there but I never look at the camera.. I usually turn my head away from the camera and it annoys my mom soooo much. It's real fun!
You look like a lion with that ruff. Excellent canine plumage for soaking up some mud. How does it go... April showers bring May mud holes?
Oh but we love the photos So, Fenway! Just think of it as bringing pleasure t all of your fans worldwide!
Your Pals,

Haha! We know about the posing thing, buddy, and we sympathize... On the other hand, you do look pretty good, so sharing with the world's not such a bad thing. ;)

Our mom is just loving all of your poses with the pretty flowers, Fenway! We love the picture with your green ball best!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Fenway.
You sure are silly. Nice move with the fake pose.. hunt a squirrel at the same time w/ the tulip background.
The reward was worth the time.
Oh... a joy ride in the Z28 would be bliss. Keep in mind I am a good co-pilot.

Hi Fenway,
Those are some pretty flowers. I thought you would still have snow in Maryland.
Now, seriously Fenway, are you a Prince or a King? Your portraits are so regal you MUST be royalty. Are you holding out on me? (Hope I'm not blowing your cover!)
Kisses,
Queen Emma Rose
Fenway..you are way too handsome! I adored all your photos..you did great! :)
Fen,
I feel your pain. I have had many "flower photos" in the past. Mom seems to forget I am a boy and am not into flowers like she is! :)
Hang in there!
Skye
I love coming here to your blog, Fenway, whenever I need a smile! Thanks!
What pretty flowers you have, Fenway! We hope they don't get toasted by a late frost. It's supposed to be 28 degrees here, by tomorrow morning. We are NOT amused!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches
I think my mom was in that incredible Sarasota place the weekend after yours. Your post about it went up while my human was still there.
But there is a chance your mom saw my cousins! The two of them hang out near the water all the time.
It's a small world there in FL. And it's apparently too small for beasts like us. Otherwise I'm sure we would have been invited.
